DAYA - CHILDREN EDUCATIONAL PROJECT







PRAISE GOD - DAYA - A CHILDREN PROJECT IS STARTED

Daya -is an educational project initiated by Hyssop Ministries, Kalimpong for poor children to help them in their education. Daya will help students till their 10th standard providing books and copies and one hour tuition everyday from monday to Friday with light refreshement. Students will come to Daya centre everyday. They will be taken to educational tour and will be provided other educational knowledge through films etc. More than that, they will learn about Jesus and our focus is to present Jesus as the Saviour and the Lord to their families.

Daya Project is dedicated on 19th Feb 2009 at Singmari, Darjeeling with 5 poor students at present. Out of 5 students, 4 are non Christians and 1 is a christian student. The tuition classess for these 5 students will be commencing from 2nd March 2009. Miss Sital Pradhan a graduate from Govt. College, Darjeeling is apoointed as the caregiver of this project.

VISION 2009 - PRAYERS NEEDED

UP COMINGS: WE NEED YOUR PRAYER AND FINANCIAL SUPPORT

2009 VISION:-

1. TO START REVIVAL MEETINGS FOR YOUTH IN DARJEELING

2. GOD WILLING, TO START SATURDAY FELLOWSHIP FOR YOUTH IN DARJEELING

3. TO HELP 5 POOR NON CHRISTIAN STUDENTS IN THEIR EDUCATION AND LEAD
THEIR FAMILIES TO CHRIST FROM FEB 2009 ONWARDS IN DARJEELING

Feb - 2009 program:-

1. Dharan Nepal visit - 3rd week

2. 18th Feb - Gospel program in Sangsay Kaman, Kalimpong

3. Damak, Nepal visit - last week

Dear Partners,

Thank you for your prayers. Please find the report of January 2009

13-15th We had 3 days seminar on evangelism in partnership with Campus Crusade for Christ for young people. 30 young people attend this seminar @ CE hostel. There was a 2 hours of practical in sharing gospel. They shared the gospel to 68 non Christians and 19 of them accepted Jesus Christ on the last day of the seminar.

18 -20th, We had three day youth meeting for the young people in Lower Martam, Sikkim where you also visited long time back. I taught them on the subjects like Music and Love, Marriage and Sex. Around 30 young people from different churches attended this. Two evening we had open air revival and gospel meetings. 35 backslidden Christians dedicated their lives to Jesus and three hindu ladies accepted Jesus as their saviour. The follow up work is going on there.

23-26th, we were in Kolkata PITSTOP youth retreat. Around 50 young people from different universities and colleges attended this camp. I met one buddist girl, who is now growing in the Lord. She is a M.Sc student. Her name is Dawa, pray for her.

27-28th, Again we were in Mongalbarie, West Sikkim in the youth convention of EPCS church, More than 700 youth attended this. More than 40 young people dedicated their lives to Jesus.

30th, We had gospel program among Lepchas in Nasey 6th mile, Kalimpong. Around 300 people heard the gospel and the follow up work is going on well.

The Saturday youth Fellowship "FRIENDS" is going on well. More than 50 youth are attending this fellowship at present. There will be more when schools and college will reopen from 20th Feb onwards. At present two hindu girl have accepted Jesus through Friends and now growing in the Lord. Pray for them - Kalyani and Yozna
