NAYA SHRISTI- LOCAL TV MEDIA MINISTRY

BY GOD'S GRACE, THE LOCAL TV CABLE MEDIA MINISTRY "NAYA SHRISTI"means "NEW CREATION" IS GOING ON WELL SINCE 2008 JANUARY IN ASSOCIATION WITH LIGHT ON THE MOUNTAIN.THIS IS A HALF AN HOUR GOSPEL PROGRAM MOSTLY CONSISTS OF GOSPEL MESSAGE, TESTIMONIES AND MUSIC VIDEOS AND BEING SHOWN IN GANGTOK (SIKKIM), DARJEELING, KERSEONG AND KALIMPONG. WE ARE REACHING OUT GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST THROUGH TV TO EACH AND EVERY HOME OF HIMALAYAS.FAMILIES WHICH ARE CLOSED FOR THE GOSPEL, CAN HEAR THE GOOD NEWS THROUGH NAYA SHRISTI.PEOPLE ARE BEING SAVED AND BLESSED.

DAYA - POOR CHILDREN EDUCATIONAL PROJECT

Dear Partners,

We are glad to inform your that 5 more poor children are being admitted in DAYA -poor children educational project on 15th Feb 2010, making the total number 10. Daya is an initiation of Hyssop Ministries, trying to help poor children in their education by helping to buy school books and copies, providing refreshment (food) after their schools and tuition to help in their home works and studies. Sital Pradhan is the care giver who helps these 10 children.

I must thank God ,our partners who has been helping us in this project since 2009 February. May God bless them all.

UPDATED UPTO FEB 10

DEAR PARTNERS,

IT IS MY JOY TO SHARE WITH YOU THAT GOD IS FAITHFUL AND GRACIOUS. THANK YOU FOR YOUR PRAYERS.

23-26TH JAN- God blessed in PITSTOP youth retreat in Dhyan Ashram, Kolkata. More than 50 youth attended organised by Kolkatta Hill Christian Youth. 10 young people accepted Jesus as their Saviour.There was a great break through among youth.

6th FEB: We had Gospel concert in Maniram Bhyanjyang in Sikkim with the help of our HEF evangelist Dhurba and other churches. More than 250 people heard the gospel and few of them have accepted the forgiveness of their sins from Jesus.

7TH FEB: We had another Gospel concert in Bigmat Sikkim especially focusing on Limbu people orgnaised by our HEF evangelist Jhalak with help of local PFC church. More than 300 people have heard the gospel and the follow up work is going on.

8th -10th FEB: We had our first PFC Duars convention in Nangdala near Birpara. There was a great break through among adhivashi people. More than 50 people gave their lives to Jesus. People were delivered from alcohol and bad habits.

WHY FASTING? read, mediate and be blessed

Why we need to fast? - Mathias Subba

1. Fasting is humbling ourselves before God. The Bible says: I humbled my soul with fasting (Ps.35:13).
2. Fasting is seeking God. The Bible says: And I set my face unto the Lord God, to seek by prayer and supplications, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes( Dan 9:3).
3. Fasting is an expression of sorrow. "Then the king went to his palace, and passed the night fasting: neither were instruments of musick brought before him: and his sleep went from him".(Dan 6:18)
4. Fasting is returning to God (from humanness to Godliness). " Therefore also now, saith the LORD, turn ye even to me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning" (Joel. 2:12)
5. Fasting is repenting of sins. " Now in the twenty and fourth day of this month the children of Israel were assembled with fasting, and with sackclothes, and earth upon them." ( Neh 9:1-2)
6. Fasting is allowing God's power to work . "However, this kind (means devil possessed) does not go out except by prayer and fasting." Mat 17:21
7. Fasting is spiritual discipline to be more closer with the Lord. " So Cornelius said, "From the fourth day until this hour I was fasting, and at the ninth hour I was praying in my house, and behold, a man stood before me in shining clothing" (Act 10:30)
8. Fasting prayer is for special occasions. Act 13:2-3 Now as they were ministering to the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, "Now separate to Me Barnabas and Saul for the work which I have called them." Then, fasting and praying, and laying their hands on them, they sent them awayAct 14:23 And having chosen elders for them in every church, and having prayed with fasting, they commended them to the Lord in whom they had believed.
