MINISTRY UPDATE FROM 1ST OCT TILL 14TH NOV 2010

THANK YOU FOR YOUR PRAYERS, HERE IS SOME MINISTRY REPORTS AND PHOTOS:

NCF Youth Evangelistic camp was organised by Nepali Christian Fellowship Shilong from 14th to 18th Oct 2010. 45 youth attended and 10 accepted Christ and others rededicated. We had a blessed time in Shilong.Thanks for your prayers

DEAR PARTNERS, THANK YOU FOR YOUR PRAYER SUPPORT. AROUND 150 YOUTH ATTENDED THE 3 DAYS REVIVAL MEETING from 22-24 Oct 2010 ENTITLED 'Let your Kingdom come". We believe that God has started His work in Darjeeling reviving His people once again. Praise the Lord.

Priase God, We had a blessed time in Darap Vishwavani Church, West Sikkim FROM 6-8 nOV 2010. One Limbu lady accepted Christ as her Saviour. 20 years backslided Christian lady repented and came back to the Lord and many are being revived. Thanks for your prayers.

Thanks Partners for your prayers, had a blessed gospel concert in Lower Burtuk, Gangtok on 13th Nov. More than 100 people heard the Gospel, 5 accepted Jesus and 4 were baptised on 14th Nov. Glory to God.

WHY FASTING? read, mediate and be blessed

Why we need to fast? - Mathias Subba

1. Fasting is humbling ourselves before God. The Bible says: I humbled my soul with fasting (Ps.35:13).
2. Fasting is seeking God. The Bible says: And I set my face unto the Lord God, to seek by prayer and supplications, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes( Dan 9:3).
3. Fasting is an expression of sorrow. "Then the king went to his palace, and passed the night fasting: neither were instruments of musick brought before him: and his sleep went from him".(Dan 6:18)
4. Fasting is returning to God (from humanness to Godliness). " Therefore also now, saith the LORD, turn ye even to me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning" (Joel. 2:12)
5. Fasting is repenting of sins. " Now in the twenty and fourth day of this month the children of Israel were assembled with fasting, and with sackclothes, and earth upon them." ( Neh 9:1-2)
6. Fasting is allowing God's power to work . "However, this kind (means devil possessed) does not go out except by prayer and fasting." Mat 17:21
7. Fasting is spiritual discipline to be more closer with the Lord. " So Cornelius said, "From the fourth day until this hour I was fasting, and at the ninth hour I was praying in my house, and behold, a man stood before me in shining clothing" (Act 10:30)
8. Fasting prayer is for special occasions. Act 13:2-3 Now as they were ministering to the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, "Now separate to Me Barnabas and Saul for the work which I have called them." Then, fasting and praying, and laying their hands on them, they sent them awayAct 14:23 And having chosen elders for them in every church, and having prayed with fasting, they commended them to the Lord in whom they had believed.
